My RR day results.

Heres my results from the day. I was a little bit anoyed to start with after seing the figures but im happy enough considering iv done what i have to it and its a good base to improve on 🙂

The power line looks quite smooth wich is good and for some reason the limiter seems higher than normal dunno..

What gear do they run in as im sure its um.. capable of more than 118mph :shifty:

It all seems pritty healthy and im not burning a drop of oil now.

Next mods to do i think will be exhaust manifold,2 1/2 inch system, cams and inlet plenum. oh and a remap 🙂

Normally run in 4th, as it's closest to 1:1 ratio.

looks good mate, somthings very strange about the lambda results on the cars?

out of interest what mods have you done as your slightly up on power than mine and slightly down on torque?

So far iv got :

Polished and ported head with a good skim to get 11:1 insted of 10:1 compession

Balancer shaft delete

Polished and ported T/B

70mm intake and heat sheilded induction kit

EGR blanked and cheated

2 1/2 " downpipe with 200 cell cat

Strait through 2" center section with letterbox

Sort of similar really but with raised compression and B/S delete.

i didn't think you had all that done? i was hoping to get the head skimmed, balance shaft deleted and sports cat but was hoping to gain more.... it should pull more than 1.6bhp gain on mine tho, i hope? what age and milage is yours (as pottsey has pointed out his is higher than mine :crazy: , any excuse)

Now you know how i feel then :lol:

I still think they are good mods to do. It might be that once i get my exhaust sorted ill get the power and torque i should be getting.

Cavadict had a good result with his manifold and system wich kind of pushes me in that direction for my next mod.

sorry mate, which was cavadict? i remember most members from yesterday but not all!

My old vec wasnt that highly modified,

2.4 manifold,
2.4in downpipe and sports cat.
remus centre
magnex back box
egr removed
ported tb

No remap.

Last rolling road i did it made 178bhp
and jamee's done 175 iirc...

that sounds more like what i'd want to be making! :thumbup: but as was said yesterday it seems no 2 2.2 engines are the same once they are tinkered with.

other than that it was completly standard wasn't it?

I would of thought so m8.... seems strange that you do loads and not get what you expect.....however the 2.4in downpipe made the most dif on mine and jams

I think he got 154bhp and all he's done so far is the manifold and system. i was impressed.

They were indeed...landrover downpipe(slightly less than 2.5in but neglible)

Im just going to keep fettling it i think till i get it right.

Iv got a 2.5"downpipe with sports cat dunno..

the cast manifold is the most restrictive part of the exhaust imo

the 4-1 mani made 1bhp on my car (same rollers) :lol: TBH burt with your mods i would have said mid 160's.
