Can't quite find an answer about this on the net, but we know that keeping the mani (and induction) cool will help increase power. Makes sense; cooler air, more dense air, more oxygen, etc. So my question, what can be done to ensure that the air entering the combustion chamber is as close to external atmospheric temperature as possible?
Some thoughts:
- Heat wrapping the mani/airbox/pipes.
- And/or applying heat-proof paint.
- Fitting a heat proof ceramic/plastic gasket. (Hondata make gaskets for a few engines, but not for the z22se.)
- Other heat proof components?
But then again, how much warmer is the air in the mani, compared to the air temp outside the car?
