Air con diagnosis

Hey...can anyone help me...i want to find out why the air con is blowing warm and not cold, bought the car a month or so again and it wasnt working.....so i went and got a regas at kwik fit...the aircon worked for a week but its not cold any more.

Where do i start, please help.

Sounds like you've got a leak mate. The Kwik Fit box should have checked for leaks by holding vacuum for 20mins....but...you never know.

yeh they should discharge it first then do some tests before regassing it

i suggest u go back and ask for the report into regassing it concerning pressure test

most air con units on cars that dont work is down to corrosion and leaks

buying a car over 6 years old that has working air con is considered a bonus imo

I found the condenser and to the right there is a pipe that looks like it goes into a metal housing......is look like its that as it is green around the pipe.

Ideas any one

May be where your leak is as they often put a green dye in with the oil so any laeks can be easily seen.

condenser canister...well after looking on the internet i think this is the part i am having problems with....i dont know how this fits but it has to pipes that feed into the top of it...and it is these pipes or the fitting that i need help with, i need to know if anyone has had the same problem
