Car recently broke down which is the subjest of another post on here. Power sounder battery is clearly on the way out becasuse I've had the 4 beeps for a while. After the breakdown I have the following issues:
- Car doesn't even try to start - just get a click and one beep
- Alarm will not stop going off - as soon as the battery is connected off it goes
- Neither the key fob, turning the key in the door or turning the ignition on turns off the alarm
- Doos stopped locking on key fob
Any ideas? I also think there is a drain on the battery and I suspect the Power Sounder. I've read that to remove the sounder you disconnect the battery within 10 seconds of turning off the ignition or something. Given that my alrm is always going off and the battery is already disconnected can I just remove the sounder and re-connect the battery?
