veccychris hi all the guide on the chain snapped in 3 places engine sounded sweet as a nut be4 all this not on tick over sounds a bit rattley any ideas wot mite have gone wrong thanx
Daz Seen that few times when ive changed chains, my guess is the plastic goes brittle and just fall to pieces under the pressure of the chain running on it....
vocky same here, seen it a few times and as Daz said above - most likely the material has gone brittle with age :thumbdown:
veccychris any ideas as to why it could be makin a ticking noise after the new chain has been put on???
Daz maybe injectors.... cud be the purge valve mounted to the airbox.... has the tensioner been activated...
veccychris what do you mean by tensioner been activated??? how do you do that or how to find out if its not been activated?? thanx
