vx220 EML P1221

hi guys,

got a eml code of P1221 on a vx220 n/a

car reves ok then eml comes on and thorttle cuts out.

tryed a new throttle pedal and a new throttle body, new coil pack new spark plugs, cleaned all connectors all to no avail. seems to do it more when engine is hot?

at my wits end with it. Can anyone shed any light on this before it goes to the main stealers?

double check the wiring plugs behind the coolant tank dunno..

done that thanks vocky.

however got nothing to clean then with so going down the car shop tommorrow to get some contact cleaner. going to give then a few quirts of that plust the throttle body plug and pedal plug. and the eml plugs if i can get them off. looks like i need a star bit with a hole and a drill for the other side :? ??????

right chaps

just for the record there was a shed load of water and gunk in socket number 2 of the ecu. Cleaned out and spray many times with contact cleaner

and so far success! no more p1221 code

however 2 pins inside socket 2 are wobbly? dont know if these are used or not? has anyone got a pinout wiring diagram of the ecu sockets?
