Can anybody please give me some advice, not sure if its me been paranoid or what??
I have an astra coupe 51 plate z22se, i check the oil every 2 weeks, on saturday 26/6 i done my usual oil check to notice that the oil has dropped slightly by 1 notch on the dipstick, although its still at half way i have not topped it up..
I know your probably thinking what is strange about this? i change the oil every 6,000 miles, and it was changed in jan, previously in the last 2 years it hasent dropped between changes..
The car has 90,000 on the clock with plenty of history etc... There is no Blue smoke, and there are no oil leaks at all...
There is a slight seapage of oil in the air intake, only a thin film nothing dripping or soaking..
On friday i put the car up for sale on auto trader, and i do not want to sell it with something seriously wriong with it as i dont really want to live with the guilt.
Silly question, could it be to do with the weather, its been around 28 for the last 2 weeks and since i have owned the car, we have not had the weather this consistant..
Any suggestions please??
