abit of V6 TB advise

could someone just clear up another little problem i have, (second of a few atm, i'll be slowly getting around to all of them, sorry)

as with the Z22SE TB, when porting its advised to stay well away from the lip tight on the butterfly as it'll run like cr@p, i presume its the same idea on the vectrab V6 one?

stay away from here (butterfly open with this bit coming up)

um good question not sure if it does matter as the v6 has an idle control valve it matters on the 2.2 as the ECU controls the Butter fly valve to control the idle. Without that part on the 2.2 with the valve partialy open it would let to much air in and cause idle problems.

To be safe i would say leave it but not 100% convinced it would matter anyone else??

thanks matey, if its poss to take it out i could remove at least 7-8mm from there so would be great if i could, anyone?

A guy on vvoc was porting these out a few years ago....from memory there wasnt alot of thickness in the walls and they were collapsing after porting.....

yeah, the walls are nothing like the thickness of the 2.2 ones, the only places that can really be touched are the two area agaist the butterfly lips, so hopfully i can grid both sides out and then the rest will just be polished!
