Im a newbie here so please spare the rotten tomatoes if the questions seems silly. :roll:
I went over the oil consumption threads here and im left with the impression the z22se is an oil hungry engine, hence mine has got just about 54 miles on the clock, and has already eaten up 2 extra liters of oil until its last oil change about 6800 miles ago, which imo is a lot, what do you think ? The oil i currently run is Mobil 5w40, hence strange thing is on mobil's local website they list this oil as diesel oil ... is it possible that my garage screwed things up when they changed it, or is there a petrol version of the 5w40 as well ?
Forgot to add that i cant see any oil leaks from the engine nor there is smoke out of the exhaust ...
Another thing ive been wondering is my fuel consumption during the winter. During the cold months (it snows constantly here) when the temperatures were below 0 i was getting from 13 to 15 MPG ... now during the summer the car is doing about 20MPG. This is all urban. On country roads or the highway i get about 30MPG on average ... is such a big difference normal ? Im not a racer or something, but i cant say i`m a slow driver as well.
