Right then after having rebuilt my engine up on my 150 sri veccy, i replaced the head (cheers kaz) due to other letting in coolant into no1 cylinder due to possibly a crack anyway ive changed head been very carefull putting it back together, timing was done perfectly and im 100% happy with that, only thing is it sound just the same but without the misfire. all cylinders are now free from leaks and head is ok band no smoke of any kind.
Now how ever it still sounds a lil rough and majorly lacks powerexhaust does sound but rough too ( did remove pre cat whilst waiting for head arrive) also had an egr cheater fitted plus blanking plate. Got eml on and before i fork out for it go on diognostics has anyone got any ideas? ill try still a video on so people know what it sounds like.

You sure you've got your valve timing correct?

ya 100 % mate all paint marks on chain were correct and matched up correctly, all tensioned fine and rotated engine half a dozen times to check it was ok, unless something has gone wrong but cnt see how if it was timing would it show on diognostics

Shame you weren't a bit closer (73 miles) cos i've got a code reader here. Mind you....i'm on an early shift next week so i could meet you half way if it's any good to you?

its no problem getting it on a ode reader but problem is if by some chance it is timing these engines dont have camshaft possition sensors like other engines, shiuldnt be timing though as it was all matched up nicely and was nice and tight and is new chain tensioner the lot. guna stick me egr valve back on for time beiing and see if any difference

Altho i have noticed that is a slight bit of smoke coming from the exhaust and also a few bits a metal filings from when i removed pre cat would this make it lose power and sound rough??
