interior light central locking

i have already posted about this problem however i think i made it a bit confusing so im posting this as a new topic and only asking 1 question instead of 20.
Is the interior light linked at all to the central locking unit in the driver’s foot well as there are some cables that match colour wise. As I have a fault with my interior light (not the light, bulbs fuse or even headlamp switch all have been replaced)
Only thing dose a replaced central locking unit need to be reprogrammed?

I think the remotes are coded to the central locking ecu, you could try disconnecting the central locking ecu to see if your interior light problem is fixed

Do you have a multi-timer unit on the Astra like what's fitted to the Vectra?

The multi-timer unit is located behind the fuse board on the Vectra.

hi thanks for the replies it was my multi timer that had gone faulty easy fix (sort off getting the fuse board out is a bit of a pain)
only odd thing is all the multi timers i could find were black and my own had a green backing? vx wanted £89quid for it and a 10 day wait as they can only me got from opel.
so £20 for a used black cased timer wasnt a bad deal. everything seems to work so far.

Well done! I replaced mine a while back and it was about £52 with my discount. Unfortunately, it didn't cure my problem.
