Tick over and Air Con

Hi Guys

I've got a 2.2 150 SRi Veccie B. Generally been a good car, but I have a couple of problems I can't get to the bottom of. When on tick over, every now and again it feels like the engine misses a beat. The revs drops for a mear instant and then come back up. No misfiring or at all lumpy when driving. Any ideas? It would be nice to get a smoother tick over back again!

Other problem, Air Con. It seems to work ok, but has recently started making some odd shooshing noises. These noises come and go all the time when driving along. Obviously more noticeable at lower speeds.

I would check the egr valve is shut and also the plugs are ok (don't overtighten the plugs when refitting them)

Hi. Thanks for that, however it did have a new EGR only a couple of years ago.

i would still check the EGR valve as they don't last forever
