tips on timing chain, please

ok basically havent got a timing locking kit so any tips on keeping the thing time up when releaseing the sprockets to replace with new,

also any help with the balance shaft will be useful.

i have autodata but thats not the most informative software

You dont need a cam locking tool to change the cam chain, new chain is marked and worst case you have to use cable ties to hold the chain to sprockets

Balance shaft? You mean the balance shaft delete?

with regards to the chain, im also changing the sprockets, aswell as the chain, and theres a 2nd chain behind the timing chain which i am also changing

Buy the balancer and cam chain kit from Vx, around £117 per kit

Cam chain kit comes with new guide rails, bolts, sprockets, chain and tensioner
Balancer kit comes with chain, guide rails, tensioner and bolts

Also worth considering seals on the way back - crank oil seal and crank cover seal, better to get the whole job done at once
