running problems after fitting 2.4 manifold

i've just fitting my 2.4 inlet manifold and now having running problems and cant see what the problem is, i've used the 2.2 gaskets didn't know if this could be a problem? i've blanker the egr off could this be a problem? i really dunno, becasue after fitting it, it ran sweet as for a day and now the power keeps dieing and it's doing my head in lol. Anyone got any ideas?

have you fitted the 2.4 gasket between 2+3 ports dunno..

I have used the 2.2 gasket between 2+3. Held in place with some silicone sealant. Silicone sealant is the one designed to withstand temps to 300 deg.c. for cars (not the standard household silicone sealant).

yeah i did, i brought the kit off ebay off someone but he forgot to say the gasket didn't come with it but he sent the gasket that goes inbetween 2-3 port

you also need to seal the inlet manifold to the head around the outside of the 2.2 gasket between 2+3

i done all that and it's made it worse, it starts then dies straight away and now the air cooling lights comes on?

sounds like an air leak somewhere or possibly a bad connection on one of the electrical plugs notsure.gif
