Right im thinking of doing some major power modifications to my coupe.
Could anyone tell me what i could do and get eg.Manifolds,tb,injectors etc.
Im thinking of trying to make my own exhaust manifold.The only problem is im struggling to find some figures of the best pipe diameter to use for the most power.
Also does anyone know and good websites to order the parts from the US also any sites with details of what modifications i could do to get the power.

I dont think im looking into getting a sc or turbo but if it comes to it i may think about going down that route.
I really want to also know what is restricted on the 2.2 like size of pipes and shape of piston head etc.

If anyone has anything to help me out it would be much appreciated.

a 4-1 exhaust manifold, piper cams, 2.4 inlet manifold and a ported head with raised compression would be a good start

What diameter pipe would be good for the 4-1 manifold as im going to make one myself or atleast try lol.
The 2.4 inlet manifold am i best gettin 68mm t/b or waiting until i do a few more things first??

pipe diameter depends on the power you want from the engine dunno..

my primaries are 45mm, but 38mm would be ok for 175 bhp

I've been reliably informed by some gents who know what they are doing, that 1.75" is the smallest you want for the 2.2 (in all cases, then tweak the runner length to suit)

1.75" or approx 45mm primaries are too big for sub 200 bhp, the standard head has an outlet hole equivalent of approx 33mm dunno..

my old WeaponR 4-2-1 was 38mm on the primaries and 45mm on the secondaries and the collector was approx 54mm

my new 4-2-1 has 45mm primaries, 54mm secondaries and a collector of 63.5mm, should be good for around 250 bhp 😃

Wish i could get that sort of power from mine would love 250 bhp 🙂.

Im just scared of what damage it could cause to other components.
