Hi all! I have a little question to clear... I'm a newbie with a chain engine, all of my other cars have belt. The question is the
noise of the chain, i readed that the chain versus the belt, it's more noisy, but, that's my question, what is the "normal "
noise? i have read a lot of topics talking about the chain tensioner needs to be replaced, and for the GM the firsts units of
the Z22SE in the astra will hace a campaign to replace the main tensioner etc. i have a 2002 jan Opel Astra coupe and i not
read anything about any replacement doed yet on my car, i'm a little worried for the possibility i have in bad conditions the
chain cryb.. . The noise i percibe better is when i drive hard, pushing up to 5000rpm and the change up etc (sport mode)
and then i park my car in my house put off the music and then hear clo clo clo clo clo clo the noise level are not apreciable if
you don't pay special attention to that "clo" clo. I have a problem? i need to change the chain and the tensioners?? my
engine have 96k of kilometers, and ever put mobil1 5w50 rally formula oil in the changes, that liquid oil is dangerous for the
chain??
Any help wil be much appreciated, and so sorry for the Bible... hehe
Regards
Pedro
