speedo gone off

Hi guy's need a little help please, driving on the a1 yesterday and the speedo needle just dropped to 0 and no longer moves but rev counter fuel and temp all work but the abs tc and management lights came on.
Had a look on the gearbox to try and find a speed sensor but no luck so am i right in thinking the speedo works from the abs sensors? or is there something i'm missing? notsure.gif

Sounds like you've blown the fuse. The speedo, ABS and TC all work off of the same circuit. Try your fuse first.

Cheers Jonny will check is it a fuse on the board or relay in the engine bay?

Fuse #35, 10 amp in the fusebox inside the car.

fuse was ok but changed it to be sure going to pick the missus up now so will give a try fingers crosssed

hmm i am sure it is either the front near side ABS sensor ,ABS ecu if it is not a fuse or possible cv joint and ring

No change still not working,i was wondering is it possible to clean the sensors up? and are there on front and rear hubs or just the fronts?

All sorted now 😃 , finally got the time to take the wheels off and found the sensor wire on the nsf had came out of the mounts on the strutt and had been touching the tyre and wore the it. :oops:
