Hi, I've found this side as a result of some research into the dredded cam chain worries.
About to collect my 51 plate vectra 2.2 150 Estate in next couple of days.

I've been reasured it's had the new chain etc fitted but getting it done with new chain and ugraded oil jet once I collect it.

Can anyone confirm new chain and oil jet along with regular oil changes solves the issue ???

Hello and welcome to the site.

The issue was with the smaller oil jet not being large enough to flow adequate oil to the chain. Was also made worse with people not doing regular enough oil changes, and the filter breaking down, blocking the already small jet.

Im reading alot about folk buying oil, filters etc using a trade club card for cheaper prices, whats a trade club card and how do you get one ?
