I hear the Mean Green Zaf Machine is back up and running :clap:

sounds good, feels good
just need to save some money for petrol
it is very mild now, I do have a prediction (but nobody likes or believes my results anyway)

It sounds like Lee is not giving much away Matt! I suspect/have a gut feeling that changing the oils is just the tip of the iceberg 😃

but I have kept the plenum inlet & 4,2,1 exhaust
most of the work is on the bottom end
knife-edge crank
balanced standard pistons
polished & shot-peened standard rods
balance delete

AND
stage 2 comp cams
11.25:1 CR

As I said earlier "quite mild"

hoping for 200ft/lbs at the flywheel but that will only read at 130-140ft/lbs on the wheels (due to massive transmission loss)

transmission loss (25-40%) is just that! most is lost through torque converter
positives
Less torque shock to engine bottom end
Engine able to spin up quicker thus faster acceleration
ability to convert to semi sequential in three rev/torque limiter points (feels like three seperate sets of ratios)

As I understand it because its an auto box it changes gear depending on how hard/fast you drive and with a sports button you maximise the rev range before it changes gear. Added bonus is no clutch pedal/left leg action!

you can run an auto box through the gears ie: 1st, 2nd then 3rd having "technically" being a manual transmission but no added clutch, pedal and long gear shift movement.

i think im right in believing some of the fastest cars have a 3 speed automatic gearbox 🙂

surely not in a zafira though?
