Hiya, i have a 2003 vectra z22se 2.2 sri with 57000 miles. I bought it recently and the timing chain had been replaced etc.
My problem/concern is this. A couple of times now when travelling the car starts making a train like chug chug chug type sound, as though one of the tyres is flat type noise. It is really loud both inside and outside the car, but only when moving. I have brought the car to a stop and No noise. Started moving and the noise comes back. Turn the ignition/engine off, restart and move off- no noise?
Oil all at correct levels. No noise i can hear from timing chain area and the noise is not all the time,, i am worried i have bought a pig and there is something seriously wrong.
The car also felt very lumpy, bumpy as if rising up and down.
Any help/advise would be gratefully appreciated before handing it to the stealers.
