SriSte Anyone had this before, front lambda is reading as normal, 2nd lambda is almost matching it. Both showing a good curve. Could it be a dodgy sensor or is my hoffman 200cpi dead? Opinions or guesses welcome! thanks Ste
MikeS sounds right with a sports cat operates near enough the same as the front due to higher flow of gas and emissions you getting p0420 code ?

SriSte Ill see if it passes its next mot lol I cant remember if ive checked it before, ive had the p0420 code on for a year and a half
JohnnyN Can you clear the code for a while before it activates again? My first sport cat used to go between 400 and 800 miles before the code would come up. I swapped it with Daz for services rendered and he had the same problem. I then bought that Hoffmann and in the time I had it the code came up twice. Since the new sport cat has been fitted 2 years ago, all has been fine so far. There was a thread a while ago about making up a spacer to locate the rear sensor further out of the gas flow?
SriSte It will clear for 4 days max usually, I did get some spacers but i never fitted them as the p0420 code only comes on, on tickover after a run. Not when the gasses are whizzing past. Its not the light that bothers me, its possible mot failure.
SriSte I'd rather have a sensor there i think, just trying to figure out if i need to buy a sports cat so it can be welded in, in the event of emissions failure.
