Nato Over the last two weeks I've had trouble starting from cold. It usually takes three attempts to get the car started from cold, usually firing properly on the final attempt. The car doesn't struggle to turn though. I've also noticed a little bit of a misfire on idle, which again goes away when the car is warm. I'm thinking plugs to begin with to see if it cures the problem, but after that I'm a little stumped. Any ideas? The car is an 04 plate (petrol) Vectra with 68000 on the clock.
Nato Update - just been out and checked fault codes with my code reader. It's come back with 0138 - oxygen sensor circuit voltage high. Would this be related or is something totally different?
MikeS if anything it would be misfiring after a few mins from starting once the lambdas go into closed loop the misfire is evident when u blip throttle on idle as it is overfueling have you got an air flow meter ?
