Wosup guys new to the site... I have recently got myself a astra 2.2 sri and spent a load of money having work done on the head and timing chain service only 2 find out the engine is nackard :cry: ... after speaking to a few mechanically minded people it seems rebuilding is a better option than replacing the engine. My problem now is where to have this done and where to find decent parts for decent prices.I am no mechanic so would have the work done ... maybe some involvement as im not a complete idiot lol but I want to make sure i have the right people doing the job any recommendations as to where i can have the work done in or around Birmingham/West Bromwich? also would there be a huge difference in price if I were to use performance parts over standard parts because if the difference isnt too much it would be nice to have a bit of extra performance.also considering remapping once the engine is built ... any recommendations for where to have that done? cheers
