Gazza when the car is cold and i start it the car revs very high(even thought i do not touch the throttle).it does this for a couple of minutes and after if you rev it it will settle down any ideas what it could be ?
Mark_Dj I think thats just the normal cold start kicking in mate. It's just like a choke. My car does this and I just wait for a min then off I go 🙂

Mark_Dj No it's fine lol. My Turbo did it every time it had been sat for a while, I just wait til it stopped then drive off 🙂
Gazza ok,mine does it everytime i start it in the morning or night but onece it has been run for an hour it's fine.i can start it after that and it's normal
Andy i usualy just drive off more or less straight away. i read in the handbook for my car that you shouldn't let it idle when cold before driving off, it doesnt say why though.
Gazza seems strange ? i dont like doing it it sounds like the clutch is slipping when i cahange from 1st to 2nd if i wait a min it's fine then
