jaywanley Hi does anyone know what the mod is to derestrict the air box on the vectra b sri 2.2?, i can find the how to guide for the vectra c but none on the vectra b. All i can remember was the holes on the wing side of the box other then that im unsure cheers..
sophos9 Me too - the how to shows for an Astra, can anyone confirm whats needed for the Vectra B please 🙂
monkeyboy hi guys. open your air box and remove the air filter.below that is a inlet pipe coming in to the airbox cut this down so it only enters the airbox about an inch. ull need a sharp knife and a pair of pliers to cut the wire cord thats PIPE 1. next turn the lid of the air box over and ull see another pipe leading out of the airbox its plastic and is fixed to the lid this should just pull off thats PIPE 2. last but not least remove the front grill look down theres a pipe running along the inside of the bumper it stops about halfway along about inline with the centre of the number plate. remove the clip and cut the end of the pipe off with a hacksaw and then replace the now open ended pipe PIPE 3. for maximum effect use a K+N panel filter aswell this is what i did hope this has helped
JohnnyN This may help you too? I removed my front bumper to get to the pipes behind. This was from a long while back. JohnnyN said: In the 1st pic you can see a black pipe under the drivers headlamp sticking out. This normally has a resinator box on it which needs removing, see picture 2. The other pipe that needs the end cutting off is behind the crash bar in between the rad, picture 3. (pipe not shown) ;-)
jaywanley cool ive managed to remove the pipe on the lid and also i completly removed the wire pipe from inside and left the hole open to allo better flow. i just didnt realise about the 3rd pipe i am swapping my bumber for a gsi one soon so i shall hav ago at tht pipe when the bumpers off cheers or that cheers..
Blue_2_2 a mod should delete that link, as we cant mention this site on that their site! Or god forbid say that their 2.2 knowledge is lacking, compared to here! (rant over)
rod1-sri thats a good point tbh i think AOC is shit and doesn't offer any genuine help, i think they tend to clutch at straws when the answer a query. I like to keep putting links to this and other sites on they're pages to keep the mods on thier toes. 😃

monkeyboy not sure bout that one and i think drilling the air box just makes for a louder induction note
