TimSri Hi People, My Astra has developed a strange problem. When i take the car over 3000 revs there is a nasty ticking/clicking noise coming from the Alternator/belt area. Its not the Cam chain or tensioner as ive had these replaced last year. Any ideas? My alternator is charging my battery ok and my car is running sweet but this noise sounds awfull! francav it sounds like your chain but even though you have had it done last year, just worth taking another look at it 1st mate just to rule it out, check your balancer chain too.
