rear wheel noise below 20 mph

hi all, when i am at speeds below 20mph i get a horrible drowning noise coming from rear i have had the car on the ramp check for play in the wheels, but both sides are solid, ive put new discs n pads all round which hasnt changed the problem. any sugestion would be appreciated cheers..

bearing only thing mate, i did an alfa that was solid and felt like had no play but when i started strippring down the bearing just fell to peices.
on these they are a whole hub, not cheap but very easy to replace.

i had the same problem changed the rear hub but the noise was still there so after abit of head scratching i decided to swop rear wheels to the front and front to rear...after all that work it turned out to be tyre noise on road... it now droans on the front lol..

humm i have same tyres all round, sound for sure is comimg from driverside rear, think i,ll just get a new hub see how that goes !! notsure.gif

Had similar noise on my vec was coming from the rear thought it was one of the wheel bearings so i took the car into supertyres who jacked the rear up and used an old balancing machine which they butt upto the trye and spin the wheel at some very high speed, No noise from bearings but then the manager noticed the inside of both my rear tryes had stepping which causes serious road noise had both rear tyres replaced and noise has gone. Does anyone know what causes the rear wheels to splay out as mine do it and this will cause the inside of the tryes to wear

tyres on rear have even wear across the tyres and i dont get any noise above 20 mph !! i have ordered new hub will fit next weekend.
not sure what could cause ur tyres to splay like that worn bushes maybe ?
