OK a quick update on the EGR valve problem
I asked Vocky for a plugin ECU cheater which came this morning & bought a vauxhall blanking plate.
Now me & DIY do not get on at all :evil: even more now since I had a major motorcycle accident last year & crushed most of my right handside & my thumb fell off :thumbup: I was knocked off by an ex copper who the police force tried to hide for 6 months but thats another story.
Right back on track, So with my wife at hand to pickup any screws that fell on the floor I attempted to undo the 2 bolts & it was a complete success so while im on a roll I thought I'd have a go at cleaning it so out came the carb cleaner & a small flat end screwdriver to encourage the piston to move more freely & after about 10 mins its free so a quick clean around the holes on the valve & the car (I have never seen so much carbon in my life) & tap the rust off & put it back together & clear the ECU.
Once all that was done I started the beast up & she blew one hell of a cloud of black smoke out to the back & started jumping but after about 30 secs it cleared & I took her for a drive.
Now I dont know about anyone else who has done this but what a power difference it was amazing 😃
So I'll get the cheater & blanking plate for when it all goes tits up again
