I had to change my chains at 80 thou cus of a scraping rattle on cold starts. Chains are a comon fault altho theres nothing to say it deffinatly that. It sounds like it.
If you can get someone to start it when cold while you listen carefully at the driverside of the enging you might be able to here where its coming from. If its at the lower part around the bottom pulley area there a good chance it'l be the balancer chain.
If it's never been changed from new it might be worth getting them done anyway.
