Manipulating the Cooling Module - How?

Hi folks!

I want to manipulate the cooling module, i mean to decrease the temperature at which the fans start spinning and cooling the engine bay. Currently i am not sure the stock value to what temperature is set, but i want to decrease it with 5 or 7 degrees.
Do you know how i can do that and what kind of equipment i need to complete it?

a coolstat will do sweet FA in relation to what temp the fans come on etc.

You will have to mess about with the coolant temp sensor (by putting some resistors in) but tbh I really really really WOULDNT mess with it. Yes its a bit scary when the fans come on so late, but if you screw with the sensor then you will get fuelling all over the place.

Just fit a switch + relay to the actual fan and be done with it

as above really if your warmed engine temp falls below 77* ish (on ms any way) you will be in the after start warm up enrichments area of your map.
or you can buy a revotec thermostat controller and hard wire it, dunno if that will set off any warning lights tho??
also your battery charge will become a pain in the arse as the lower you have the temp set the longer the fan will run, which will cause a problem when you stop the engine and the fan runs on for 5 mins or so flattening the battery,
ive had quite a few embarassing moments asking for pushes and jump leads while trying to find that 'sweet temp' to turn on and off at.

I fixed that issue guys, it was totally different.
Yes, i have already Cool running thermostat from Coartney Sport, but the real issue was the Engine Temperature Sensor.
It was not working at all, so i replace it and all working fine, the temperature is not going more than 92 degrease.
But i have two more errors and no clue from where they are coming from:

00031 - External Series Resistor, Circuit Open
Present

00021 - Pushing Blower Motor, Malfunction
Present

if your fan is running directly from the battery it will have too much oomph for normal cooling, so this may upset your ecu... notsure.gif
