I have also been informed that the standard clutch is rated to 250bhp. I agree that the torque value would be of more use and realistic.
For an example, you may have a rotary (Wankel) engine that produces a high amount of power but in fact the torque output is rather disappointing.
Mazda RX8:
Engine Size 1.3 liters / 80 cu. in.
Horsepower 238 @ 8500 rpm
Torque (lb-ft) 159 @ 5500 rpm
Another factor to take into account is to how that torque is delivered. The torque through a NA is progressive. The torque through SC or Turbo is aggressive.
