jimmyz22se HI THERE JUST JOINED i have an astra coupe after owning lots ov vhauxhall cars this is my first 2.2 petrol when i bought the car it smoked under acceliration put it down to worn piston rings due to the high millage at 134.000 so began using lots ov oil decided 2 take out engine and replace the block cam chain ect ect built it all back up using my existing head and thare was no smoke for two days then began using oil again and smoking again would stem seals make MY ENGINE LOOSE LOTS OF OIL :?:
MikeS it will burn any excess oil so yes i would also check for oil leaks around the cam chain area and water pump
