Oil leak

I replaced the ARB front and rear this weekend and on replacing the front I noticed oil over the gearbox bell housing. It looks to be coming from above so hopefully ruling out the gear box seal.

My first job tonight or tomorrow is to jet it off and see where its coming from if possible.

Has anyone had any similar problems???

Any ideas would be good :think:

i have a leak from the gasket where the gear linkage meets the gearbox.
only tends to leak when being driven hard otherwise it not an issue on mine.

Depending on what vectra you have? the vectra b's power streering pump has a habit of leaking. wich is above the gearbox and tends to run down.

Easy fix tho take it off clean up. bit of gasket sealer round the oring and bang it back on :thumbup:

Yeh its a vec B.

Had a quick look and it does seem to be coming from either the power steering pump or the dizzy blank plate. Its dripped down over the coolant pipes and on to the gearbox.
