Ignition barrel

Hi all
I have a problem with my ignition barrel on my astra 2002 stupid thing is jammed and wont turn at all. I read about tapping it with a hammer because the pins get jammed its not worked and I think I need a new barrel. Can I get one made to fit my key, if so does anyone know how much it will cost.
Is there anything else I can do to get it turning again.

try moving steering wheel at the same time as trying to turn key this may help
you should be able to get a new barrel from the dealers fro your key

Lubrication, small movement and a tap with a hammer. Same happened on the Omega, freed it off after a little playing

Try a spare key? Your key might be worn dunno..

Thanks for your info guys spend the day on it yesterday fixed it . Took the barrel out and found a small spring loaded pin at the back was sticking due to general wear and tear. Striped it down filed the burrs off cleaned it all up working fine now yippee.
