Replacement Gaskets for the 2.4 GM Inlet

Hi All

Just thought id share this one: -

I bought from Hexstatic a few months ago his never used Gm 2.4 Inlet Manifold. However there was no gaskets!

Today I went to my favorite Vx Dealership (because they are the most helpful in my area) and asked the question. "Can you get some gaskets for this?" and showed him the 2.4 inlet. First chap didnt know much about it but he got a senior guy to help. After looking up the GM part number printed on the inlet, he came back with 2 sets of gaskets!!! SHOCKED I WAS! But yes they fit!

So if anyone needs replacement gaskets ask for these part numbers: -

 90537818 - 2x rubber rings for the inlet/TB (I think 1 is a spare) - 2.39 + vat
 9194750  - 4x smaller rubber rings and a bit of blue plastic (no idea what the blue plastic bit is for) - 21.70 + vat

Now i can get my inlet fitted!!! 😃

little bit of plastic is a gasket in the middle of no2 and no3. u need it other wise wont run.

Can I just confirm (or not) that this blue bit in pic below goes between 2 & 3 inlets. Does it matter its not an exact fitment eg. same shape/size?

you will need to use some sealant to glue that into the 2.4 manifold (it's a z22se seal), then when its dry use some more on the manifold face when installing the manifold :thumbup:

I was just up the road from you last nite. Went to get the Regal exhaust manifold off Atom X.

I beleive you were supplied with the z22se gasket kit
which would explain why
VX stocked them
Centre cam case breather interface plate WRONG shape

you are most likely right, what is worrying thou is that they didnt know where it goes lol

Could it still be "BOSHED" as above (if im clever enough)

I have sealed mine with black shit even thou I have the correct gasket (less oil in the inlt air tract)

Whats the best "black shit" to use? Would a hot glue gun be suffice?

sealant rather than glue
that way you can remove manifold easily
