Dan150 Recently I have been noticing that when car is idling the rev counter seems to move up and down not too much but every now and then for about 10secs it does it quite a bit, can anyone shed some light on this cheers in advance!!
bolder mines always done it, i put it down to electronic throttle, like when i stop at a corner it will rev at 1200 then if im there for a while will go down to 900
AceOdinn I'm sorry to interrupt you guys, but what's the correct idle revs on our engines? Mine is about 600. One post earlier bolder wrote about 900 :wtf:

Vacuum leak, throttle body dirty etc... Nominal revs should be 800rpm, I've tweaked mine via diagnostic to run around 850 which helps 🙂
Huskyman Mine idles at 800rpm, but if the car is rolling it goes up to around 1100rpm, which seems to be a function of the ECU
