3" Turbo exhaust?

What will a 3" cat back exhaust be like for my car Vectra 2.0 Turbo Stage 1 ? Just seen one today that a lad had fitted on his Vectra Turbo and it sounds nice :razz:

Well been looking up on this and some people say you can loose power notsure.gif

3" turbo back on the VXR gives _20bhp extra.

Hmm, I am beat on what to do. Will it make my car any better? I had a quick look on google at 3" exhausts and some people say it's only for big power, and it can make your torque less notsure.gif . I would love to know the size of the exhaust Bsr make for the stage 3 map. If thats 3" then I might go for that. It's a Cobra system I would be going for, just stuck on if it's any good for my car :buffer

hmm i never heard of a turbo losing power because of a big exhaust since a turbo car dont need back pressure.

The Cobra system does sound good. I'm wanting a pre-cat de-cat from them in the next couple of months. They are only round the corner from my work.

One of the guys on aoc had a total decat custom system fabricated and fitted at prospeed in cardiff yesterday...cost him £500 for the whole thing..... sounds awsome( 3" precat decat pipe and 2.5" system) ..

Fitted a FMIC to his car today and looking at the exahust its a masterpeice.....

a larger downpipe for forced induction and smaller diameter centre section is suppose to be best mix

that is straight through centre section

Well I booked it in to a place a bit closer to home AAS - Advanced Automotive Systems Ltd. They are only up the road from me and I have been booked in for 7 weeks time, as thats the best date they had spare lol, £450 from the cat back, 3" pipe work. www.aas-exhausts.co.uk . I will get a sports cat and down pipe a bit later on.

Been to see him again today and it's now booked in for a 2.5 inch system from the cat back, no middle section fitted. 8)

Is it going to be any different to the one you have now (other than no middle box)?

Yes different style pipe tips, oval ones this time a bit like factory. I think they are the next size down from 6x4 notsure.gif . I wanted 6x4 oval but he said they probaly won't fit :problem: . I am sure this is the style I picked in the picture from them....
