located on thermostat housing below EGR valve
2 pin connector
the fan will probably kick in within seconds of unplugging and an ecu light will come on
even with an air leak on the inlet manifold the ECU will compensate by reducing the throttle position to increase pressure inside the manifold, i.e stabilize idle
