What to do?

I work for an agency and the company I work for are getting taken over by the truck company very soon so I will be offered a contract as I am the Team Leader at the moment and they have said they would like to take me on. Now the job I do I don't like very much :roll: , it's hard graft working in all weathers loading trucks up all shift :? . And strapping cars down all day. The last few weeks it's been even harder working in the sun. Now I am thinking of giving it up and going part time, driving cars onto ships all day long. It's easy and it's only 50p an hour less than what I make now 😛 . So do I give up the hard graft and take 50p less an hour or stick with it and gain a contract what..

mark at the end of the day you have to what you enjoy,i was the same could have had a full time job scaffolding when i left school,but the weather put me off,so i went to my current employer they put me through a colledge course now im on nearly 30k a year,and i enjoy it 😃

yeah i agree with Gaz, unless you enjoy the job there is no point sticking with it. Pus its only a drop of 50p an hour which isn't exactly a massive amount but as how many hours a week would it be if its part time?

As above really Mark, you need to have a think about it, and do whats best for yourself. I put up with shit in my last 2 jobs, and only got paid £12.5k a year. I then applied for the job I'm doing now, which is what I wanted to do from being at school, and I got it. It took nearly 3 years to get my ideal job, and I'm getting paid for learning the job. By the end of this year, I should also be on nearly £30k

I work as a IT Manager, something i have always wanted to do, and im only 21. Been here 4 years. Im only on 17k, but im the highest paid employee bar the Directors and Salesmen. So at 21 im not doing too bad.

But i have always hated my job here, never liked it one bit because of one person, my boss/It director. I have appied for others, and got interviews, but because i dont have the qualifications on paper, i dont get the job.

But its up to yourself, would you rather get paid more money, buy more things when you get paid, but dont like your job, or get paid a little less and like your job.

I know what my choice would be, less pay better job.
