bloody rip off vx!

The astra was in with vx having a few niggles sorted under warrenty yesterday, door seal, window seal, horn etc...

as a few of you know i snapped the rear wiper arm off last week so i priced 1 up with them earlier on this week and i was quoted £6, bargain i here u say? :thumbup:

i told her to order it up and i'l collect it when the car comes in for work on thurs!!

picked the car up yesterday to a bill of £14 and pennies..

when i questioned her about how it has jumped from £6>14, they had fitted the arm without me asking, arm £6.... FITTING IT £6.75+VAT!!! :o :x

£6.75 for undoing a fu(kin nut...

That`s unreal, a chap I was talking to yesterday had his £6 wing mirror glass fitted to his car at chrysler - £30 they were going to charge for 3 minutes work, it was done under warrenty or he would have told them to stick it.

i gathered that, thats why i was going to fit it myself, i didnt want to kick up a fuss and tell them to take it off as i didnt want to pay a further £6.75+vat to take the bugga back off again rofl..

Bit naughty how they just fitted it without asking but for the sake of 14quid at least its done now and its one less job to worry about 🙂

That is naughty they charged you to fit it without asking you. I'd have told them to take it back off and remove the change from your bill.

i was a bit pissed that they went ahead and fitted it at a charge like, i thought a they was doing work under warrenty then if they had fittedn it without me asking then it would have been out of good will.

oh well, nothing is free in this life!!! just glad they sorted the door seal as it was leaving water in when it rained 🙁

Well you cant trust any garage i have been ripped off by main dealership in the past under warranty, a certain person on here will know something about it, charged £150 for a new aircon bracket, two years later when repairing myself found original bodged up to look new and thats only one instance. We wont mention the handbrake.
