complete removed air con system ????

so what it need and do it the engine need to be removed or work from under
have it got a pictures if it removed

do anyone have a map of the 2.2 engine of how it look with aircon fitting and how it be removed ????

u dont need to remove it

just get an aux belt for a vectra without aircon

why do you want to remove it ?

Are u talking just the under bonnet end of things or the complete aircon system?.....

If ure just talking under the bonnet side of things ,its easy to do......

Remove aux belt and throw in bin..
Undo pipes on rear of aircon compressor
Unplug wiring on compressor.
Remove 4 bolts holding compressor and remove...
Replace aux belt with one from a vx220

Pipework i just cut out what i could see,as it wasnt goin back on..

Before doin any of the above get the system emptyed by a garage as you will get hung if you get caught letting it out into atmosphere..

I wudnt personally remove any of the aircon from inside the car as you will have to replace the complete heaterbox assembly with one from a non aircon car..

Is it just me, or have I missed something? Why would you want to remove the aircon? Is yours faulty Stu?

On my old vec i removed it becoz it was loosing refrigerant all the time,and not wanting to spend £ on it i took it out...

Let me see now more mpg
No point having it if you never use it, took repo saw to mine tonight been meaning to do it for years, now got access to brake pipe unions without dropping sub frame. So removing does have other advantages. By the way VX will charge £150 just for the bracket at back of rocker box and still bodge the original one up.
