The crank sensor usually tells the ECU that the engine is turning over and to run the fuel pump, so if fuel is being pumped then chances are this is ok.
Your best bet is to check the battery voltage first, I know this sounds daft, but ECU's hate voltages that are low. You should see at least 12.6 volts across your battery.
Second check is to listen for the injectors clicking. They tick when they cycle, so if they are ticking then you know that they are working (you can get a long screw driver and listen to them by putting the blade against the injector and putting the handle to your ear stethescope stylee).
Do a search on here on how to flash up the ECU codes, or try VVOC on a how to on this (something to do with holding down the brake pedal and the accelerator when you turn the ignition on to position 2)
