Hi all, I haven't posted on here for a while ( shows how much better the new Zaf is than the old one !! ). Anyway, a bit of a weird problem has started to occur - well, not really a problem more of an 'anomally' I suppose. Basically, I'm crusing along at say 55/60 MPH, very light throttle, engine revs around 2000 RPM. If I keep a steady throttle, the engine revs vary from 1800-ish to sometimes more like 2250-ish which results in a kind of surging ride - akin to being on boat, makes me feel a bit sick sometimes...
The car starts, idles, accelerates fine - no problems with under load, no problems shifting gears, sport mode works fine so I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced this phenomenon on any other Z22 ( or indeed other ) Vauxhall auto ?? A friend of mine did wonder where it could be casued by the torque converter locking and unlocking at around 2000 revs but I have to say that if it is spposed to be like this, I'm gonna need some brown bags on the seat backs
Cheers all
