Matt Wheels off so I can clean the arches. As far as I can see, they have never been done. Soaked in Meguiars APC for a few minutes While the wheels were off, I set about them with the Very Cherry Wheel cleaner, and a couple of brushes. The inside of the drivers side wheels are fucked. The numpty who re-furbished them sprayed over the brake dust, so I can never get them clean. I set about it with some 2000grit wet and dry, and it won't touch it. Needs to have a full spray on the inside. Will save that for another day off. Rear arches All clean (actually forgot to take ones of the front!) My favourite bit now This was left to soak for 5 minutes, and then the car was washed using Meguiars microfibre was mitt, and NXT Gen car shampoo Dried off with a Chemical Guys Miracle Dryer with a spray of Synthetic Quick Detailer First off, I set about getting rid of the swirls on the lights I gave this 4 passes with Sonus 4" SFX-1 Spot Pad and Menzerna Power Finish PO203s. Other side All masked up ready to go All the paint work was done with the same Menzerna Power Finish PO203s and a slightly less aggressive pad Passenger side done Rear Done Front Time for the wax Left for 10 minutes to cure Buffed off Wheels waxed with Colinite 915 and tyres dressed with Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel All in 8 hours work. Started at 10am, and finished just after 6pm.

Matt Snow foam is good, and does what it's supposed to do. Pulls the heavy contaminents off the paint without you having to touch it.

This must be common on Astras because mine is doing the same. What a mega detail Matt, i'm very impressed, especially this picture below which is my favourite as it looks so glossy and wet that you could dip your hand in it
Matt Cheers Roger, I've been itching to give it a full going over what with all the little problems I've had. I even jet washed under the car around the spare wheel well. I forgot to mention, I had to glue the drivers wing mirror glass back in, as it came out while I was washing it! I thought I'd got away with any damage after having it knocked off.
Sjdickso Looks great pal. Nice work. Really nice depth in colour. One thing though they are still using plastic ARB drop links.
