Last week the plastic chain tensioner broke apart (3 pieces in total) and after phoning around for a good price I took it to the main dealer as they were only £50 more expensive! After they lied to me about when they actually started it (I'd seen it on the forecourt every day they had it) I went in to see what was taking so long... After kicking up a fuss with them they took me through to the workshop to see it on the ramps and explained to me what has happened.
In its simplest form, they have said that the Chain tensioner has snapped and has somehow sheared the head off a bolt so they've got to get an external engineering company to come in and remove it. Has anyone else had a chain tensioner snap, shearing a bolt? and more importantly how have 3 small piece of plastic managed to take the head off the bolt?!?! notsure.gif
Personally I think they've tried to rush it and broke it off but i cant prove that 🙁
