If it was not dyno'd at the time of the map then there's not much to compare. The BSR map may claim 208bhp but that doesn't mean that every vehicle its loaded into that it will produce that figure.
My figures were down when I went to Got Boost last week. I've got 2 dyno results 12 months apart from Courtenay and they were within 3bhp of eachother. First time on another set of rollers and i'm 10bhp down? Its down to the rollers, operator, bonnet open/closed, atmospheric pressure, ambient temp etc.
The only way you can get what BSR state is to go to the rollers that they used whilst producing the map. The engine that they used may have been worn differently to yours or yours may have other issues that you don'y know about. Looking at the torque curve, i'm a little suprised at how quickly it peaks and how quickly it falls off.
A Live Map would give you a better outcome as its specific to your engine. Each mapping technician has there own views on a dyno result. Last week the chap said that there was room for improvement in my map. Sort of makes me wonder if they are just looking for business? My car was setup and tuned by an SC speacilist, I believe that my car was tuned to its optimum but this other chap thinks not?? Who knows??
We'll see come the Northampton RR day. There'll be a different set of results again.
Don't worry too much Mark. Its all pissing in the wind really!
:wtf:
