Fitting EGR Blanking Plate

I have been recommeded to this site by Glews in Goole where I have got my EGR blanking plate for my W Astra 2.0 SRI 16v as I seeking advice on how to fit as I am not mechanically minded. All help appreciated. Sorry not got no pics of engine etc.

Just moving the valve to one side and securing it so it looks neat and then fitting the plate, the plate has two hole either side which I think are for bolts to secure it although these did not come with the part. Here is the link for the part that I have bought it is you wish to take a peek

Sounds like you got it sussed anyway. Just undo the 2 bolts either side of the EGR valve. Lift the EGR up. There you should find a thin metal gasket. Leave this in place, locate your blanking plate of the gasket, nip down 1 bolt to hold the blanking plate in place and then locate your EGR valve turned to one side. Add your bolt and nip down. Job done!
