on my girlfriends corsa 1.4 8valve it has a constant knock sensor fault [p0325]
you clear the fault down and it re appears seconds after you start driving
i have put a new knock sensor on without any luck
i then went through the tis 200 and found out Ohm is higher than it should be at 7 - 8 ohm instead of no higher than 5 ohm, so i cut off the earth connection from the knock sensor harness and hooked up a new wire and connected it to the ecu connection point, the ohm was still 7 - 8 ohm but every sensor was reading the same dunno..
so in essence i gave the knock sensor harness a new earth connection considering it shared the earth with the map sensor and cut out the existing earth on the knock sensor
started up car and the ecu stayed off but came on occasionally and it was the knock sensor fault, i turned car off for 5 seconds and the fault went out and sometimes the fault would not come on again for another 10 minutes
the car is not cutting out when u take your foot off the gas and the idle is a bit better along with power in the rev range
also the new wire is temporarily coming out of the engine compartment and along the wing into the side of the door, how do i get it into the bulkhead grommet ?
just want some guys input into this and should i wire in a new sensor wire for the knock sensor also ?
