poundy just got this done yesterday.new 2.5" section from the new manifold i fitted 2 weeks ago.has made a very big difference to the performance, although it is even louder now, but once i complete the rest of the exhaust it should be quieter as im thinking of putting a centre section back in(not made my mind up yet though) mark at RSR in redhill does a good job on my car and has worked on it quite a few times now, takes his time and wont let it go untill he is completely happy.the flexi joint now, as you will see is back in its original possition, and this wasnt easy to do with 2.5" one and get the bends in that he wanted. watch this space for the final chapter!!! (once i get the money lol)
poundy we watched the movement from underneath the car and even with a stabliser it would have stressed the flexi too much if it was horizontal, this way as well if i need to do anything with that section i just take the whole bit off.there is alot of resonance tho with the larger bore down pipe in stainless instead of the mild steel which was alot thicker, together with the new 4 branch tho has made a difference. i was suprised when i got the 4-1 that the pipe lengths were as short as they were, and to be hounest apart from slight differences where the down pipe joins, i wouldnt have said that it was very different at all from the original.pain in the arse tho having to nut and bolt it, where the original had studs in the casting.
BURT150 Kin hell that must be loud!!! Looks spot on and another thing you could do if you have the down pipe or manifold off in the future is tap the holes out to m12or m14 that'l make it a bit easyer to re fit.
poundy it was ok when he fitted it cos the car was up in the air, but when i originaly fitted the manifold i had it on axel stands and it was a bitch!!

You really need to see Paul's car in the flesh to see just how loud his exhaust really is.
poundy if you think it was loud when you heard it last mat then wait till you hear it now!!1 and its not finished yet lol mind you its only if you realy boot it does it get that load!! :shock:
pottsey that looks an awesome bit of kit there mate ,cant wait to see yours and johnnys on the rollers in july,guess we will need some ear muffs at the rr as mine is a tad loud as well

sdbutler10 some good work there, how much was that if you dont mind me asking as i have been thinking of getting mine done. and the redhill i have heard good things about them too.
poundy £150 inc the flexi which is about £50 on its own to have fitted so not bad realy, and they do a good job. 😃
