Following on from my oil leak topic, HELP
Ok all tested and checked here's what I found....
looking at the engine
12.2bar 12.2 bar 12.2bar 11.8bar
plug ok caked in oil plug ok plug ok
oil on thread oil on thread oil on thread oil on thread
Air intake from filer to throttle body, had oil residue inside. throttle body had oil on it, and oil inside when opened.
Air filter is disgusting, so needs changing.
EGR Valve still to be done (awaiting plate), could this be the fault?
car needs a service, new oil, filters, plugs. I have cleaned plugs and throttle body up and its not popping anymore and its a bit more responsive.
I did however snap the plastic tube that is on the air pipe into the throttle body that holds the vacuum pipe, will this cause an issue? will it fix back on with epoxy?
Is it worth porting the throttle body when i take it off to give it a real good clean, and is it worth derestricting the airbox?
I posted the results on VVOC and they suggested that i change the rocker cover gasket, is it worth doing?
It still smokes when i boot it...... notsure.gif
